Qualification

Age Limit: The age limit for Haryana Police Vacancy 2024 is 18-28 Years for Constables and 21-30 Years for Sub-Inspector. (Age Relaxation of 3 Years Given to All Candidates). Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2024 – Physical | PMT and PET details.

According to the updated recruitment rules of the Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2024, candidates numbering ten times the vacancies available will be invited to participate in the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). It’s important to note that under the new rules, PMT and PET will be considered qualifying tests, and no marks will be awarded for these stages. Following the PMT and PET, a written examination will be conducted consisting of 100 questions, with a total weightage of 94.5 marks.

Haryana Police Constable Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission will shortlist candidates equal to four times the number of advertised posts for each category from those who have qualified in the Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test, to proceed to the Knowledge Test. Here is the detailed procedure for the test:

(a) Knowledge Test: This test carries a weightage of 94.5% and consists of objective type multiple-choice questions. Each question holds equal marks.

(b) Medium of Examination: The examination will be conducted in bilingual mode, i.e., Hindi/English, except where the candidates’ proficiency in Hindi/English needs to be assessed.

(c) Test Content: The test paper will cover topics such as General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, General Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, Numerical Ability, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and other relevant fields/trades. Additionally, at least 10% of the questions will focus on basic computer knowledge, and a minimum of 20% will relate to basic knowledge about Haryana. The questions will be set to the standard expected of someone who has completed the 10+2 examination for the Constable post and has graduated for the Sub-Inspector post.

(d) Qualifying Marks: To be eligible for selection in the general category, a candidate must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the Knowledge Test (excluding socio-economic criteria weightage). For candidates applying under reserved categories (either vertical or horizontal), there will be a concession of 10%, making the minimum cutoff for such candidates 40% (excluding socio-economic criteria weightage).
